Our task was to reuse the former Belmont Central Schools building in Allegany County, NY. The building was shuttered in 1996 for a new building several miles away. The Belmont Betterment Association's main mission is to build a better Belmont for today, tomorrow and the future by addressing concerns and seeking solutions through the efforts of volunteers who donate their time and resources to enhance the quality of life in the community. They asked our Historical Preservation Design Studio Class at Alfred State to develop multiple uses     based off of two main concepts, a retirement community and a boutique hotel. For my part of the project, I was tasked with creating recreational, gaming and relaxation areas for the boutique hotel.
